CHESS: The Game Of The Kings

Many people find chess to be both challenging and rewarding. It has been popular for centuries and continues to be so today. Chess can be played by anyone and at any age, so you won't be left out of the fun! In this blog post, we will discuss why playing chess as a hobby is worthwhile!

Chess is a strategy game, and learning the fundamentals can take some time. This means that having patience is essential when learning chess as a hobby! Learning what moves each piece on the board should be able to make allows one to learn more quickly how to strategize their own moves in order to win games.

BRIEF HISTORY OF CHESS

—>  Chess dates back nearly 1500 years, though the exact origins are unknown. The game's earliest forefathers most likely originated in India before the sixth century AD; a minority of historians believe the game originated in China. The game spread to Persia from India. When the Arabs conquered Persia, chess was adopted by the Muslim world and spread to Southern Europe. Chess evolved into its current form in Europe in the 15th century.

HOW IS IT PLAYED?

—> Chess is a two-player board game that is played on a chessboard, which is a checkered game board with 64 squares arranged in an 88 grid. Millions of people worldwide play the game. Each player starts with 16 pieces, which include a king, a queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. Each of the six piece types moves differently, with the queen being the most powerful and the pawn being the least powerful. The goal is to checkmate the opponent's king by putting it under the unavoidable threat of capture. To that end, a player's pieces attack and capture the opponent's pieces while also supporting one another.
